Green Reading Clinics

Green Reading - 101 and 102

If you are always changing your stoke and switching putters you will never reach your full potential as a golfer. The most successful putters find one way to putt and then hone that skill.  You may not realize it but your inability to execute a consistent putting stroke may be caused by your inability to read greens?

Poor green reading is the number one reason players of all skill levels miss putts.  Unlike top professional golfers, the average amateur very seldom trusts their green reading ability. Without the confidence that a putt is being evaluated properly, most will experience feelings of fear, doubt, worry and tension. None of which are conducive to consistently making putts.

The inability to read a putt properly can create a host of negative consequences. Even if you have a functional putting stroke, without the proper line and speed, the putt has no chance of finding the hole. Consistently misreading putts can lead to a viscous cycle of forever blaming putting mechanics or their actual putter,  preventing  the commitment and  trust necessary to learning and becoming efficient with any one putting style.

Director of Instruction for LEAP Golf™, Jon Manack, and “The Putt Doctor”, Dr. Craig Farnsworth will be hosting a two-hour, hands-on clinic of how to master green reading.

You may have seen this technology in action when viewing The Golf Channel.   The blue “Aim Line” projected on the green for the television audience shows the incredible accuracy of this system.

With the help of “laser-physics”, green reading is highly predictable.

  • All participants will be provided with an “Aim Chart” that will teach how many inches of break to play on any given putt from inside of twenty feet.

  • Also included in the workshop will be in depth discussions on green mapping as well as how to chart your putts.

“…I have personally known and worked with Dr. Farnsworth for the last several years. Having played competitive golf all over the country for over 25 years, my travels have given me opportunities to become aware of very valuable and performance enhancing information that the average amateur golfer never learns or hears about.

Through our time spent together, Dr. Farnsworth has educated me on techniques that have significantly improved my own putting as well as increased my effectiveness as an instructor to my students. His information is sought out by some of the game’s greatest players and will absolutely deliver results for your game also.

I feel fortunate to have crossed paths with Dr. Farnsworth and appreciate the time he has taken to share his knowledge with me. I recommend that anyone who is offered his insight, take the time to listen.”
